This policy covers the Binaural Tones Android app and this website. In short: the app does not collect, store or share any personal data.
The app
Information we collect
None. Binaural Tones does not require an account, does not ask for personal information, and does not include analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. All audio is generated on your device and the app works fully offline.
Data stored on your device
To run the free trial and the optional Pro unlock, the app saves a small amount of information locally on your device only: when the 24-hour trial started, whether Pro has been unlocked, and your saved settings and custom presets. This data never leaves your device, is not sent to us or anyone else, and is removed if you uninstall the app.
Purchases
The optional one-time Pro purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. The app never sees or stores your payment information. Transaction data is handled by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Permissions
The app requests audio and media-playback permissions solely to play generated tones (including with the screen off), and the billing permission to offer the in-app purchase. Neither is used to collect information about you.
This website
The sample player on this site generates sound in your browser and sends nothing to us. Videos are shown from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play; Instagram and TikTok links open on those sites, which have their own privacy policies. Like most websites, our host may keep standard server logs, and we may use privacy-respecting traffic statistics to understand which pages are useful.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
